Thank you for being such a cleaver little wizard and figuring out how to send me Live NFL feeds. Truly they are a godsend. Even the muggle papers here don't cover the Colts and Giants! Heck I didn't realize that the Bills were 4-0 this season. And they were playing part of the season in Toronto!! It'll be amazing to finally have a home team, at least part time. It makes for some rough Monday and Tuesday mornings though. Well worth it. It's why they have coffee in the world.
School is ok. I'm falling behind somewhat, life outside school is non-existant. It's why I am so late writing, sorry. Yet still tho I am nowhere other than class or the library I feel like I am not getting ahead. I may have to drop an elective. Probably Magical Creatures. Especially as I am fairly certain 3 second years have already been eaten.
This weekend is Hogsmede. It's the only thing close to freedom we are likely to get until Christmas. With floo powder being cheap and plentiful here youéd think we could just go home at night or for the weekend. It's weird. Like a really cool and cheerful jail. The alternative is mom and 7...think I can stay here for Christmas?
I keep going to the infirmary with headaches. I think the matron (nurse, apparently you can't be married and a nurse here *shrugs*) thinks I am faking it. But really everything here is so loud. There are so many people, everything is magical and you never get to leave. I mean the lake has merpeople so I can't even go there. The forest is filled with unicorns, hippogriffs, centaurs.
It's deeply frustrating.
It's not all bad. Like I say the whole place is magical the students are pretty cool. Tho the trick is staying out of the midst of a ongoing prank war, watching from the sidelines is pretty fun though. I am in the duel club competition and made it to the second round. I met lots of fellow knitters, and am drinking some made of awesome tea. I got a point for my house for Quidditch but we didn't find the snitch. I am making friends. On the whole things are good just different.
Miss you all lots, Keep sending bits of home,
